Lucky hand made glass Art Baubles 

These gorgeous bold art baubles are hand made in the epochal Georgian city of Bath. The baubles are one of the glassblowers favourite pieces. As they are fun and they can playful with the colours. They have a history within the glass blowing fraternity of being lucky, as in the early days of glass blowing the apprentices were not allowed to blow anything for five years. Most evenings they were left to clear up and secretly made baubles. A bauble has to cool down slowly overnight and they had to get them out of the furnaces before the chief glassblowers (gaffers) came back. So they would throw them across the hot floor the ones that survived were deemed lucky if hung in a window.
