A day's stained course will give you guidance in the ancient art of stained glass will give you the opportunity to learn a creative skill whilst working with the truest form of colour. Make your own stained glass panel on this course under the guidance of professional stained glass artists and take it home. A short excursion to local Stained glass windows of interest is included if time permits. The Stained glass studio is in the shadow of Bath Abbey. Stained glass course dates by arrangement. Stained Glass was first known not only for decoration but to tell the stories of the bible for those who could not talk. If you look closley at satined glass windows in churches you will read the stories. Traditional stained glass involves cutting glass then leading it. But the advanced stained glass course involves painting on the glass then firing it. Each colour painted onto the stained glass window has to be fired seperatly as on colour would run into another.This stained glass course requires a bit more skill. Bath Aqua glass has a portfolio of stained glass windows through-out the country and world-wide. Annette Martin designed and installed a beautiful window in a mountain village in Corsica. The stained glass window depicts the virgin Mary the night before she gives birth with a Crosican back-ground. Our stained glass courses are very enjoyable. Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed my stained glass instruction day. The one to one tuition was great and you showed great patience with this complete novice! It was a really fun relaxing day, and it's fantastic to have a completely personal handmade product to home at the end of the day. It was such a perfect gift to receive for my birthday, and would recommend the day to anyone in need of flexing their creative muscles.
