This tradition has been around for 600 years, they were first made with odd shapes to ward off negativity in medieval times. It was not until Victorian times that the bauble was used for the Christmas Tree, it was also a display of wealth and prestige if hung in a window.Todays baubles are round in shape and still thought to ward off negativity if you hang them in your front window.
